drunk driving

People drink and drive  everyday.  Some People do the smart  thing  and call a cab and leave their car at the bar but some people are dumb and they try to get home driving drunk. A handful of people make it home safe but all the other one get caught  by police or get into a  deathly car crash. when the drunk driver gets into the car they risking there own life and everyone else on the road and  every one who is around the drunk driver.  People  really don't want to take a cab and leave there car somewhere but it is a lot safer then driving home drunk.  The people that are driving home drunk are likely 21-30  years old because they tend to party more and drink at bars. But older people still do it but mostly its those younger people who just are at the legal age to drink. There are a lot of laws right now, but i think they should have stricter laws, more prison sentences and getting there license  taken away for  a long time. It shouldn't matter if  you only have one drink or more because if you drink and don't get  punished  as much as other people, then people would just keep doing it until its to late and you kill yourself or kill someone in the other car.

  1. I think that drunk driving is caused by people who are reckless and don't really care about other peoples well being. People should be smart enough to take a bus, cab or get a ride from a friend home. Even though it is illegal to drive drunk, people don't really care. I think that if the punishment for drunk driving becomes more intense then maybe people will think twice about driving. I also think that the friends that allow them to drive drunk are at fault. Overall, drunk driving needs to be stopped.

  2. I agree with Kayla 100 percent. I believe that getting behind the wheel drunk is just showing that you are reckless and don't care about anyone else but yourself. So ultimately I believe that we need to enforce this law better or even make this law stricter.
